What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a crowdfunding platform and a service for crowdfunded project creators. Creators can now launch their very own project campaign on our crowdfunding platform, built by creators, for creators.

On BackerKit, the collective spirit that makes crowdfunding special extends beyond individual campaigns. Backers not only help projects grow, but are also an important part of the creator’s journey.

Backers Make it Better:

Crowdfunding backers just might be the most beautiful people in the whole wide world. By forming vibrant communities and offering valuable ideas and feedback, backers help creators make better products and build resilient businesses. That is the magic of crowdfunding: how it transforms the creative process into a collective effort.

Pledge Manager

Creators can also use BackerKit's tools to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences, and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

Creators use our Pledge Manager to send out 'Surveys' to backers. These Surveys really help project creators with data management. Having backers fill out this survey allows us to align order data perfectly to integrate with their production and fulfillment partners to find out counts to produce rewards, and to reduce any issues when shipping.

The survey lets backers change the order information that they originally submitted, add more items, as well as edit their shipping address. Without the survey, every backer that wants to make a change would need to write in and have the data manually edited in a big spreadsheet, which is a headache. 

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
