How do I update my payment method?
In your pledge:
- To update your payment method for a BackerKit pledge, click on the "Edit Payment Method" link on your pledge confirmation page:
- Click "change":
- Select the alternative card if it is already stored in your account, and click "Continue to Review."
If the card is not yet stored, click "Add a new payment method," and you will see the form below. Enter your payment details in the form. Once you are done entering your information, click "Add Payment Method" at the bottom of the form.
- Click "Confirm your Pledge" to finalize the update. You're all set!
In your survey:
To update your payment method in your survey, click on your BackerKit survey confirmation link that was sent to your email. If you need this link to be resent, please go to our survey recovery page here.
Once you have gotten into your survey confirmation link, click “Edit Your Order”. This will take you to your survey review page and you will see the option to add a new card in place of the one we currently have on file in the bottom-right corner of the page.
In your BackerKit account:
To update your payment method in your BackerKit account, start by logging in. Once logged in, please click on “Settings” in the top right corner of the page.
Once here, you will see the option to update both your shipping address and credit card information within BackerKit.
Clicking “Add a Payment Method” will allow you to store your new card information to be used for future pledges and surveys. Once done, click the blue button stating “Add Payment Method” and you’re all set!
Please note: This does not update your card for completed pledges/surveys — please refer to the above guides in order to update your payment for an existing survey/pledge.
