Add-on stretch goals

Didn’t hit a stretch goal item in your original campaign? BackerKit's add-on stretch goal feature enables you to set an “order goal” for an add-on so you can run an item-based “stretch goal” campaign. The idea is that you'll be able to add the item(s) you might not want to commit producing unless it reaches a certain number of orders.

To enable:

  1. Navigate to a new or existing add-on that you want to use.
  2. Enter your order goal into the Stretch Goal Target field.
  3. The remaining time is configurable under Backer Support › General under Lock Order Date for Backers.

Once the add-on is saved, your stretch goal will be live! The item will be displayed as "locked" to the backer until the order reaches its goal.

IMPORTANT: If the add-on does not reach the goal, the add-on will need to be deleted before charging backers' cards. Please reach out to hello@backerkit.com to have BackerKit staff delete the add-on for you. We will warn you within the charge cards section if these are not deleted.

PLEASE NOTE: If PayPal is enabled for your project, Stretch Goals will be unavailable. PayPal charges backers immediately, and if the Stretch Goal is not met, you would need to issue a refund through PayPal. For this reason, Stretch Goals are unavailable if PayPal is enabled. You can disable PayPal if you wish to use Stretch Goals.
