How do I integrate with BookFunnel?

Deliver Instant Access Rewards via BookFunnel

If you use BookFunnel to distribute your ebooks, you can now connect it to BackerKit and automatically deliver personalized Instant Access Rewards — no manual work required.

What you'll need:

• A BookFunnel Best Seller or Publisher plan (API access is only available on these plans)
• An active BackerKit crowdfunding project
• Your BookFunnel API key

Note: API access isn't self-serve. Reach out to support@bookfunnel.com and they'll get it enabled on your account. Once you have your key, adding books or media files to your reward tiers takes just a few minutes.

Step 1: Connect your BookFunnel account

1. Go to your project's Settings tab and click Integrations
2. Find the BookFunnel section and click Connect
3. Paste your BookFunnel API key and click Save

Where to find your API key: Log into BookFunnel → Account Settings → API

Once connected, you'll see your BookFunnel account name confirmed in the integrations panel.

Step 2: Add a BookFunnel bonus to a reward tier

1. Navigate to your project's Rewards section
2. Open the reward tier you want to add the book to
3. Under Instant Access Rewards, click Add Reward
4. Select BookFunnel as the type
5. Enter your Book UID (found in BookFunnel under your book's settings — format: BFXXXXXXXXXX)
6. Add an optional title and instructions for your backers
7. Save

When a backer pledges, follows, or reserves and it's attached to an Instant Access Reward, we'll automatically generate a unique download link for them. They'll see the link right after checkout and in their rewards dashboard at any time.
