Can I take bulk actions on an entire segment?

After you create segments, there are several actions you can take that will apply to all backers in that segment at once, by using a Segment Action.  These include:

• Adding Complimentary Credit or Complimentary Items*
• Changing to a new Pledge Level
• Taking actions like Locking Orders or Address with "Final Notice"
• Bulk updating orders with actions like Unlocking Orders or Addresses, Marking as Shipped, Closing Surveys, or Canceling Pledges

*For adding free items, we strongly recommend using the Incentives tool instead, which was created specifically for this purpose, and clearly highlights Bonus items in the survey for a better backer experience.  

Important: Segment Actions are immediate and can’t be revoked.

To take action on the segment to bulk update the status of backers:

1. On the menu on the left, click Segments.
2. Click the segment you want to update.
3. Click the Segment Actions tab.
4. Click the button for the segment action you want to take.
