Add base shipping fees

Be sure to set up shipping fees to cover shipping costs. For more information, see our blog post How to Estimate Shipping Costs.

You can set up unique shipping fees for each pledge level, for add-on items, and for pre-orders.

Add pledge-level shipping fees

To add a shipping fee for your pledge levels:

1. On the menu on the left, click Pledge Levels.
2. Click the Pledge Levels tab.
3. At the top, click the Batch Edit link.
4. Click the Pledge Level Shipping Fees tab.
5. If you already set up a shipping fee for a different pledge level that you want to reuse, under Set Your Shipping Fees for Each Country, select the pledge level in the list.
6. To set up a new shipping fee, click Add New Shipping Fee or Add EU Shipping Fees.
7. For non-EU countries, choose the country you want to ship to and enter the shipping fee.
   or
   For EU countries, in the dialog box that appears, enter the shipping fee for all EU countries. You can customize the amount and remove countries after setting up the fee.
8. Under Select the pledge levels that you want to apply the shipping fees to, select the pledge levels for this shipping fee.
   
   

   Note: If a pledge level already has an associated shipping fee, the new shipping fee replaces the existing one.

9. Click Apply.

Add a base shipping fee (pre-orders)

If you have a pre-order store, you can charge a base shipping fee to cover packaging costs. The base shipping fee applies to every pre-order regardless of the items purchased. If you charge a shipping fee for an individual item and a base shipping fee, the fees are added together.

To add a base shipping fee to your pre-order store:

1. On the menu on the left, click Pre-orders.
2. Under Base Shipping Fees, click Add New Shipping Fee or Add EU Shipping Fees.
3. For non-EU countries, choose the country you want to ship to and enter the shipping fee.
   or
   For EU countries, in the dialog box that appears, enter the shipping fee for all EU countries. You can customize the amount and remove countries after setting up the fee.
4. Click Save Pre-order Settings.
