Do I Need an Account on BackerKit to Access My Survey?

You do not need a BackerKit account to access or complete your Kickstarter survey, or manage preorders. Survey links are sent directly to the email address associated with your pledge. However, if you have backed a lot of campaigns, creating an account can be very helpful.

💡 Can't log in or reset your password? Pledging on Kickstarter, placing a preorder, or receiving emails from BackerKit does not create an account, or mean you have one. Having a Kickstarter account ≠ having a BackerKit account (separate platform, optional tool, only exists if you’ve manually signed up.) To complete your survey, simply use the unique survey link emailed to you!

If you've lost your survey link, you can recover it in a few easy steps:

  1. Visit the survey recovery page and search for your project. Learn more »
  2. Enter the email address associated with your pledge.
  3. We'll send a recovery link straight to your inbox.
Important: If you're looking to pledge on a live crowdfunding campaign hosted on BackerKit, you will need a BackerKit account to complete your pledge.

Why create a BackerKit Backer Account?

If you're backing multiple campaigns, a BackerKit account makes managing everything much simpler. Here's what it gives you:

  • One central hub for all the campaigns you support that use BackerKit. After creating an account that matches your Kickstarter email, all surveys will show up in your BackerKit account! Need help finding your pledge after? See how to find your pledges and surveys here.
  • Campaign updates: track progress and stay informed as campaigns develop and deliver.
  • Simplified shipping: update your shipping address once and it will automatically apply to any unlocked surveys.
  • Payment management: keep your payment information current in one place.
  • Help creators out: keeping your info up to date makes life easier for the teams working hard to deliver your rewards.
  • Discover new campaigns: explore projects based on your interests, follow the BackerKit blog, receive our newsletter, and follow your favorite creators to catch their latest campaigns right when they launch.
