How to Close and Reopen Surveys

Closing survey access will prevent the backers from accessing their survey or digital rewards. Surveys are typically closed when looking to prevent backers from completing surveys beyond a certain date without closing the entire project. Closing surveys using this Segment Action is temporary and allows you to reopen the surveys. Canceling surveys is a permanent action and cannot be reversed.

Closing Surveys:

1. Create a Segment of backers.
2. Click on the Segment Actions tab.
3. Scroll down to the Close Surveys/Reopen Surveys option.
4. Select the Close Surveys option.

When backers attempt to access a closed survey, instead of accessing their order info they will see a message advising the surveys are closed.

Reopening Surveys:

The segmented surveys that were closed through the Close/Reopen segment action can be reopened in the same fashion.

1. Click on the Segment Actions tab.
2. Scroll down to the Close Surveys/Reopen Surveys option.
3. Select the Reopen Surveys option.

Reopen Individual Surveys:

1. Access the backer's order.
2. Select the Actions menu in the upper right corner of the order details.
3. Select the Reopen Survey option.
