How do I see a breakdown of all funds that have been collected during my campaign?

The details regarding the revenue collected in the surveys for upgrades, add-on sales, shipping, taxes or VAT, and pledges is available in the BackerKit reporting available. You may need to gather this information for accounting or tax purposes. Below we outline how to segment and gather the reporting needed.

When pulling reporting on sales collected you'll need to isolate the orders to only the backers who issued payment through the survey. This helps exclude payments collected from Kickstarter or Indiegogo (outside of our system).

  1. Create a segment using the following filters
    1. BackerKit Funds >> Paid with Credit Card
    2. Regions >> Add region filters if needed for tax purposes
    3. BackerKit Funds >> Paid with PayPal -- if enabled create a separate segment
  2. Click on the Export Reports tab.
  3. Expand the Accounting Reports section.
  4. Download the Expected Revenue report:
    1. Sum each of the columns to determine the total collected. This will give you the total add-on sales, total shipping collected, and total taxes collected for the segmented backers.
  5. Download the Collected Revenue report:
    1. Identify the Funding Kind Column (Column I) to find the Order_Transactions. Order_Transactions reflects the payments processed in BackerKit.
    2. Sum the Order_Transactions only to identify the total funds collected in BackerKit
