How to Create a Hidden Pledge Level with an Exclusive Offer?

Introducing hidden pledge tiers with exclusive discounts or extra freebies, available only to a select audience is a great opportunity to capture the attention of those who are still on the fence. By offering a slightly discounted hidden tier, you can create a sense of exclusivity and urgency—two powerful motivators for backers. Here’s how we can make it happen:

How to create a hidden pledge level:

1. Click on Manage My Project
2. Click on the Pledge Levels tab
3. Click on Create A New Pledge Level
4. Build out pledge level to your specs (set discounted price, purchase limit, etc)
5. Check box for “Hide this pledge level”
6. Click save
7. Click on “View Hidden Pledge Level” 
8. Copy URL (to be pasted into Launch email)**

9. Not a quick/obvious way to copy the hidden tier link

   
   

How to create a launch email to spread the word:

1. Click on Launch (under Live Stats)
2. Click on Email Campaigns
3. Click on “Draft Your Next Email”
4. Choose the “After Launch” Template or “Create Custom Email Campaign”
5. Build out your email tailored to targeted audience

6. Insert hyperlink to your hidden pledge level**

   a. Not a clear/easy way to link email directly to hidden tier

7. Click save
8. Filter members under the send tab to your specs**

a. Currently requires staff intervention to segment/filter down email
