How to Enable Pay Over Time For Backers
👉 Can’t find Pay Over Time option?
Disclaimer: Pay Over Time is not available on all projects. It’s up to each project team to enable this feature. If not available, pledges must be paid in full.
- Pay Over Time can only be selected during a live campaign. It is not available once a campaign has ended, for preorders, late pledges, or once surveys are sent.
👉 If available on the campaign:
🚨 Please review Pay Over Time policies before pledging.
👉 If you’ve already pledged:
Once the campaign ends, you cannot switch to a payment plan.
You may switch between “Pay in Full” and “Pay Over Time” while the campaign is live at any time by editing your payment method.
How to Select:
After logging into your account, click on your Profile, and click on Your Pledges & Surveys.
- Click on the name of your pledge.
- Click Edit Your Pledge towards the bottom of the page.
- Edit your payment method
- Once you get to “Edit payment method”, you can choose the desired option and select ‘Confirm Your Pledge’:
👉 If you have not pledged yet:
🚨 Please review Pay Over Time policies before pledging.
- From the main campaign page, choose a Pledge Level or add Add-ons to your cart equivalent to $150 or more, select “Next.”
- At checkout, input your payment method.
- Select, “Add Payment Method” Do not forget this step, as it is most often missed. After adding your card information, you must select “Add new payment method” to populate the Pay Over Time options and to proceed.
- After selecting, “Add Payment Method”, above “Shipping Country”, you’ll see two options.
- Pay in Full
- Pay in Four Payments
- Select your desired option and make sure that you’ve selected, “Next.”
- Confirm your shipping country (if requested).
- The blue button, “Confirm Your Pledge” should autopopulate.
Click “Confirm Your Pledge
