Manage Incentives

Incentives are free items you offered to specific backers during the campaign via special promotions (such as pledging early, following the project before launch, or any stretch goals reached). Make sure to add those freebies to backers' carts before sending the survey.

How to Apply Incentives to Backers

To apply incentives (like free items from stretch goals, early bird offers, or cross-collaborations) to your backers:

Identify Qualified Backers:

1. On the menu on the left, click Tools > Segments
2. Click Create a New Segment
3. Use segments to filter backers who qualify for specific incentives.

Set Up Incentives:

1. On the menu on the left, click Set Up Items and create your incentive as an add-on if it has not already been created.
2. Once it's an add-on, click on 3. Review > Campaign Incentives and click Set Up a New Campaign Incentive
3. Name it, and under What do they receive?, link it to the add-on and click Save.

Apply Incentives:

1. On the menu on the left, click 3. Review > Campaign Incentives
2. Click the Select who receives this incentive button next to the incentive you want to set up.
3. Under Who receives this incentive?, assign this incentive to the relevant backer segment.
4. When a segment is selected, click Apply incentive to backers button
