You can update your address through your account, or survey. Disclaimer: None of the following methods will update your address for:

In Your BackerKit Crowdfunding Account
You can update your address in your Settings, and the change will apply across all eligible unlocked addresses. See above disclaimer.
Steps:
- Log in to your account

NOTE: If you have moved to a country with different state formatting, contact Support with your new address, account email, and name if you're unable to modify a field.

Updating a Single Address from your BackerKit Crowdfunding Account:
Click Avatar → Your Pledges & Surveys → Your Surveys → “Edit order or address” → “Go to Page” (top-right corner) → "Edit Shipping Info."

💡 Note: We don't collect shipping addresses for live campaigns. You'll receive an email post-campaign with a link to fill out your survey including shipping address as soon as the creators are ready!
In Your Survey
- To open your survey, click the confirmation link sent to your email. Trouble locating your survey?
- Click → “Go to page” →“Shipping” → "Next" to save your updated details. RFC number/TaxpayerID?
If you have a grayed out country/state or locked address: ⚠️ See above disclaimer.
• If updating causes a balance, we'll process the charge immediately.
• If the change results in a credit, these will default to a creator donation, or add-ons/shipping.
• To request a refund, contact the project creator directly as funds are managed by the creator.

Survey Deadlines:
Q: I haven't received my survey yet — when can I include my address?
A: 💡 If you haven't received your survey yet, there's nothing to update right now. BackerKit doesn't collect your shipping address until the project team sends out surveys. You'll receive an email with your survey link when it's ready. :)
Q: I'm moving soon — when is the deadline to change my address?
A: You can update your address anytime until it's locked! BackerKit can't confirm timelines as we don't handle fulfillment. However, creators usually announce address lockdown deadlines via Project Updates, so keep an eye out, and if you're still concerned about your moving date, please contact the creator directly.
Q: My address is locked or marked shipped — how do I make changes?
A: Please contact the project creator team directly. At this stage, any address changes require their involvement, as your information may have already been sent to their fulfillment partner.
Form Trouble:
Q: My country isn't showing in the dropdown.
A: If your country doesn't appear in the shipping address dropdown, the creator may not be shipping to your location. Check the "Shipping" or "Fulfillment" section of the campaign page to confirm.
If your country is excluded, your options are:
- Use an alternative address on your survey — such as a freight forwarding service or a friend's address in a supported country.
- Request a refund or cancellation via the Project Team.
Q: My address is too long for the field.
A: Some addresses — particularly international ones — may exceed the character limit. Contact BackerKit Support with your address in the following format and we'll enter it manually:

Q: I'm getting an address validation error.
A: Our system syncs with USPS to verify addresses. If you're seeing a validation error, try this:
- Look up your address using the USPS Zip Code Lookup tool.
- Use the exact format shown, including the full 9-digit ZIP code.
- Enter that new zipcode into your survey and resubmit.
- If the error persists after that, click "Submit Address" to bypass it.
💡 If your address is outside the U.S., our system may not be able to validate it. You can click "Submit Address" to bypass the error.
Q: I can't get past the Shipping page.
A: If you're getting stuck on the shipping address page, this page has a pop-up window to verify your address.
If you have a pop-up blocker on your web browser, please disable it for that page so that you can verify your address, or try a different browser (Google Chrome). If you are still having trouble, please contact Backer Support with your full address using the template below.
Delivery:
Q: My order arrived wrong, incomplete, or not at all.
A: While BackerKit helps creators collect surveys, we aren't involved in post-delivery.
We cannot locate or replace incorrect items or create new deliveries for items that never arrived. Only the creator can resolve delivery and replacement of rewards as BackerKit is a separate entity.
The best next step is to contact the project team directly. They'll have full access to shipping details and can help you with the correct resolution.
If you're missing items, make sure that your order isn't shipping in separate waves by checking the Project Updates on the main campaign page.

Q: What shipping carrier will be used?
A: Shipping carrier and delivery method are determined by the project creator, BackerKit does not have access to this information. We'd recommend reaching out to the project creator directly for details, or checking Project Updates or FAQ's.
Q: Can you hold, delay, or expedite my package?
A: Expedited shipping is rarely available as timelines are not guaranteed as items are often still in production. An upgraded shipping option is sometimes available during the survey phase or as a limited pledge level, but this isn't common.Holding or delaying a shipment is up to the project creator.

Q: What shipping wave am I in, and when will my order ship?
A: Waves are determined by the project creator and vary by factors like country, items ordered, or preorder vs. backer status — BackerKit isn't able to confirm which wave you're in. Your best sources are the project's updates page, FAQ, the "Shipping" section on the main campaign page, Pledge Level descriptions or contacting the creator directly.
Once your order ships, you'll receive a tracking link if the creator has chosen to provide one — not all do.

Q: How do I select Local Pickup?
A: Local Shipping is only available dependent on the project team. If available, you will see it reflected in your survey. To select it:
- Open your survey and navigate to the Shipping page.
- In the Country field, select "Local Pickup" from the dropdown.
- Enter N/A in all remaining address fields.
💡 Be sure to include an updated phone number in case you're unable to make pickup. If you need help selecting Local Pickup, Contact BackerKit Support.
Q: Can I split my rewards to multiple addresses?
A: Splitting rewards between multiple addresses is entirely up to the project creator's fulfillment policy. Most creators aren't able to accommodate this due to the complexity it adds to fulfillment. To find out if split shipping is an option for your project, message the creator directly.
If not available, splitting your order will need to be handled independently after you've received your rewards, or a second order will need to be placed with the designated address and shipping fees.
Q: I need to modify my billing address.
A: BackerKit processes payments through Stripe, which does not require a billing address. We don't collect or store billing addresses, so there's nothing to update on that front.
