How do I set up items in BackerKit?

The Item Generator is the best way for you to successfully set up all the items in your project that you’re providing to your backers.

What does the Item Generator do?

When you set up your items with the Item Generator it automatically creates SKUs for all of your items. Creating items with the Item Generator simplifies the ordering process for your backers, generates accurate counts for manufacturing and streamlines fulfillment.

The Item Generator also sets up the survey you send to your backers to gather information and provide additional items for purchase. For example, the survey collects the options your backers pick for their items, offers add-on items for purchase, and collects your backers’ shipping addresses. How do I use the Item Generator?

To get started with the Item Generator:

1. On the menu on the left, click Set Up Items.
2. Follow the steps in the Item Generator to set up your items and survey questions.
