Charge Shipping Later (beta)

What is it?

The charge shipping later feature will allow you to wait to charge backers for shipping closer to fulfillment. 

What are the common use cases? 

1. I don’t know how much to charge for shipping. 
2. Shipping fees fluctuate a lot, and I don’t want to charge for shipping now. 
3. I am not shipping out for another year or longer, and I want to charge for accurate shipping closer to fulfillment. 

What does it do when enabled, and what should you consider?

1. The feature collects credit card information from backers with physical SKUs in their order.
   1. Note - Please check 'shippable' on the physical SKUs located on the 'SKUs' page - on the left side of your dashboard.
2. Once enabled, the survey messaging updates for those with physical SKUs in their order - displaying a message letting backers know that shipping will be collected later.
   1. Message: "Shipping will be added and charged late"
3. Paypal cannot be enabled when using the feature; otherwise, creators must reach out to those backers again later on to collect their payment data.
