Uploading Weight Based Shipping Profile

What is it?

BackerKit now offers a way to upload a weight based shipping table to generate the shipping profile with a click of a button. 

What are the common use cases? 

1. I have a lot of shipping regions and each shipping table has a lot of ranges and building them out manually takes too long.

   
   
2. I've received a template from my fulfillment partner and it's easier to copy over the fees.

Where to upload in my project?

1. Make a copy of the shipping upload Template here to download and edit in a .CSV format.
2. Fill out the information on the template (See Legend for directions).
3. Go to your weight-based shipping table by clicking "Add Shipping Fees," then select either:
   1. "Whole Order Weight-Based" or
   2. "Stackable Shipping >> Weight-Based Add-on Shipping"

4. Click into your weight-based shipping profile, scroll to the "Upload Shipping Rates" section.

5. Select your file and click Upload.
6. If there are errors during the upload, they will be displayed in the changelog section of the shipping upload.
   1. The error log will show you where the error is in the file so you can update it and try again.
   2. If you continue having trouble, contact your Success rep or hello@backerkit.com.

Errors are commonly thrown when Shipping Regions overlap. In your CSV, make sure that every country, US+CAN States, are all on their own separate line. If a country shares the exact same fees as one or more other countries, BackerKit will create a combined region.

Weights are in decimals — If your bracket is from 0-8oz, it will be .5 on your template. (0.5 lbs)
